This resource is for teaching and practicing understanding of feelings, motivation, action through awareness of environmental and facial cues by using a wordless picture book. Wordless picture books are often used in speech therapy for developing narratives and examining visual cues in story lines.

What's in here?
* There is a page by page list of questions to think about and answer, observations to make, predictions to make relative to the pictures that make up the story.
* There are 32 multiple choice cards to tell what happened, why, and how she felt throughout the story with each event.
* There are 12 emotions picture pockets to glue into an interactive notebook or onto other pages and identify/label.
* There are word banks to use for labeling the emotions.
* There is a set of 8 cards (make 2 copies of each) for playing card games, where students identify the situation (from the story) and the feeling that goes with it.
* There is an emotions/situation sort, identifying events that made the woman happy or frustrated.
* There are 6 situations pictures, where students are asked to tell what she could have said.
* There are sequencing activities; including 2 sample familiar sequences for practice and then 2 sequences from the story for students to complete
* There is also a sentence strip sequencing activity.
* There is a “connecting to text” writing activity, where students can choose between writing prompts.
* There is a story elements activity, where students choose an event in the story and tell Who, What happened, Where, the Problem, the Feeling, and the Ending.
