As a religious ed. teacher, I am always looking for fun and memorable ways to teach my students. I find the text useful for information but doesn't excite my students very much. So..........I create a lot of activities and projects to help them remember what is covered in the religion curriculum. As part of our course of study, I have to teach my students about the four different types of prayer. In order to get my students thinking about the different types of prayer and to put it into their little minds, I created this unit! I have posters that define each type of prayer with an example to use in the classroom. I also have a project that requires students to write their own prayer for each type of prayer. To make the project exciting, I have them put their prayers in a blue jean pocket! The kiddos love it! While creating this project, my own children were required to learn and recite the corporal works of mercy at church so I created posters and bookmarks here as a bonus!! Enjoy! Just print out, laminate the posters, make copies of the projects for your students and you're ready to go! Enjoy!
