Praying In My Own Words is a great resource for learning about and applying four types of prayer found in the Bible—praise, repentance, thanksgiving, and petition.
Each of the five printable reading selections is accompanied by a set of Discussion Questions / Writing Prompts, which move students beyond comprehension to application. Several Extension Activities for each reading further encourage students to apply what they have learned about prayer.
Over 250 color-coded Word Cards are included in the Appendix and can be printed, cut out, and laminated. These Word Cards can be used by students to create original prayers of praise, repentance, thanksgiving, and petition. The nine groups of color-coded Word Cards help reinforce literacy. The set of Word Cards can be expanded by using any one of the nine color-coded blank card pages to create an unlimited number of Word Cards.
Students, who may be inhibited by their speech or writing ability, can demonstrate their understanding of the four types of prayer and can also create original prayers by using the Word Cards.
All students can add their original prayers to the printable ‘My Prayer Journal.’
I would appreciate it if you would come back and leave me a review.
