This study guide details the procedure for finding roots of polynomial functions: graphing, Descartes Rule of Signs, Rational Roots, Upper/Lower Bounds, complex zeros, irrational zeros and the intermediate value theorem. Listed in an order I find that works well with the students and gives them a process to follow and one page with everything on it. Also included is a worksheet for students to use when going through the procedure. I often have them do all their homework on these sheets and also use them for the exam.
This can also be used as a review for Calculus students.
