PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This study guide is a step-by-step method for graphing rational functions. Included are instructions on finding the y-intercept, x-intrcepts, vertical asymptotes, horizontal/slant asymptotes, and holes. This guide is a good supplement for graphing these by hand or for checking graphing calculator results. Students will learn the importance of canceling to find the holes and how to locate them on the calculator's graph of the function. There is also a "shortcut" for the slant asymptotes that looks like calculus but the students don't need to know that in order to use this procedure. The example really helps with finding horizontal asymptotes.
