PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This DBQ practice lesson activity is based on the events that surround the abolitionist John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry. In conducting the DBQ practice, students will analyze a set of 10 primary and secondary source documents, determine which documents show evidence as to whether or not John Brown is a HERO or a VILLAIN for his attempt to start a slave uprising, build the reasons by pre-writing a three pronged thesis statement and then creating a 1-paragrapgh DBQ introduction that answers the historical question.
