Just read and repeat!
This lesson is the third of twelve in the Pre-Intermediate section of the Learn English Now course and teaches the Past Simple Tense of Regular Verbs, the pronunciation of ---ED endings, and a little more vocabulary.
As with all the other lessons in this course, the teacher simply reads out each word or phrase clearly and distinctly, and the student learns by listening and repeating, whilst pronunciation is monitored and corrected.
Simple to use; no graphics, no games, no preparation.
These lessons can be used one-on-one, or with a class of students.
Each lesson is exactly 4 pages long, ideal for one hour, and has exercises (with answer key) at the end. The words and phrases should be written down in the student’s notebooks during the class and the exercises should be printed and given out for homework.
Parts of the course are written in question and answer format so the students can learn how to form questions correctly in English. Commonly used idioms are explained, and new vocabulary is given in phonetics (see Lesson A0.02) to help with pronunciation.
