I use the first 2 pages (with color) as my "test" by putting them in a sheet protector and pointing to them as the student looks (this copy is never written on). I then have that student's copy in front of me and check it as they get each item correct (leaving the space blank for incorrect answers.) I use a different color pen every time we test and just use one paper/student every year. Then I can see their progress from the beginning of the year to the end of the year on one piece of paper. If you have unlimited color copies, you can certainly make the first 2 pages for every student, but the colors are available in words for black and white only copiers.
