This is a great tool to use with students who have limited expressive and receptive vocabulary. My students like this activity because there are manipulatives to use and the pictures are engaging. You can use this activity in a variety of ways beginning with offering the student one manipulative to match and increasing the complexity by offering 2 or more manipulatives to choose from. Encourage your student to verbalize the name of the object or imitate the name of the object. Or you can have your student choose the object you name and find the matching picture.
