Product Description
47 sight words are taught using 26 easy readers, along with a variety of accompanying activities. This program uses a sequential, multi-sensory approach. Students read, write, complete worksheets, play games, and use flashcards. Students learn both phonics and sight words, so they can become strong, confident readers.

Experts recommend a sequential, multi-sensory approach for children with dyslexia. This program is also great for older students with special needs. My teenage son who has Down Syndrome loves the readers in this series! He enjoys reading them in digital format. Once downloaded, he can easily skip through the activities to access the digital books. This series is also great for beginning readers, as it builds a solid foundation of skills and knowledge.

Below is a list of the Pre-Primer words:

a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, I, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my, not, one, play, red, run, said, see, the, three, to, two, up, we, where, yellow, you

This book also includes the following words from the Primer list:

too, pretty, this, are, at, ate, am

A page of flashcards is located after each reader. These flashcards are of the new sight words and select sentences in the reader. I recommend printing the flashcard page on card stock for durability. Each reader also includes a fun activity sheet.

Sentence Builder Books

Sentence Builder Books develop fine motor skills, along with reading, writing, and spelling. Each reader comes with pages to create a Sentence Builder Book. The first page may be used as the cover. It has the title and lines for the student’s name and date. The next page or two contain all the sentences from the reader. After the sentences, you will find all of the pictures from the reader.

Students cut out the words and pictures. Next, they paste the words onto paper to re-create the sentences. If your students use the included handwriting template, they may also copy the sentences. Students may paste the pictures and/or draw pictures to go with the sentences.

Once complete, students staple the pages together to create the Sentence Builder Book. This is a great project for children to take home and read to their families.
