The “R” sound is notoriously known to be a tricky sound for some children to master and for some speech language pathologists to teach.

“R” is challenging because there are so many variations to it. The vowel next to the “r” sound influences its production. Also, the production of the “R” occurs inside the mouth while the tongue is moving so it is difficult to see how to say the sound. Furthermore, there are TWO different way to say and teach proper production of “R”:

    1. The Bunched or Retracted “R”
    2. The Retroflexed “R”

    What’s included?

This bundle includes TWO very useful and versatile resources to practice articulation for the Pre-vocalic "R" or "R" in the initial position of words

    1.  Pre-vocalic/Initial "R" Sound Flashcards for Articulation Speech Therapy Placement Visuals
    2.  Pre-vocalic/Initial "R" Sound Puzzle Cards for FUN Articulation Speech Therapy

    • 24 Initial “R” cards – curling back the tip of the tongue while the back of the tongue is elevated and retracted (aka the retroflexed position)

These Pre-vocalic/Initial "R“ Sound Puzzle Cards for FUN Articulation Speech Therapy includes 24 different puzzle cards to target the “R” sound in the initial position of words.
