This product is implemented to teach sight word recognition to children with disabilities. This format has been proven to be successful in my classroom for children in grades 1st through 5th as well as for those with moderate/severe disabilities.
Read and point to each word. Have the student to touch the requested word while you are pointing to that word. Eventually the student will be able to point to the requested word without the prompt. Read the sentence emphasizing the underlined word twice. Read the next sentence without saying blank - just pause at the blank. Then ask what goes here - touch and say each word. Tell the student to touch the answer.
