### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Aligned with Common Core, this activity helps a kindergartner walk through their thinking using pre-printed fish illustrations. I suggest you laminate this sheet.

The sheet provides an illustration and blank number sentence below. Students are walked through simple Math steps to help each child identify that they are starting off with 10 and then they will subtract a specific amount and end up with a total in which they have to determine by taking away (or crossing off).
This is a great activity that can be used as a teaching demonstration with the introduction of subtraction and decomposing as well as for guided practice and centers.

Objective: Students will be able to decompose the number 10 into pairs in more than one way and write out the equation (number sentence).
