The goal of this digital resource is to introduce students to computer keyboard location and at the same time help them master the skill of Drag and Drop. Students will learn keys in the home, top and bottom row. They will enjoy dragging and dropping correct fingers tips to the correct keys. This resource contains animation and audio to help students independently begin and complete the assignments. Assignments provide immediate feedback for maximum learning.
The lessons are intended for students who are transitioning from tablets to laptop/desktop computers.
This is an interactive, self-paced activity done on either a Mac or Windows PC (currently not compatible on tablets). It includes drag and drop segments with audio instructions and animation. Also included, after students learn key locations and finger placement, is an assessment page. However, as mentioned above, each page provide immediate feedback of how students did.
After downloading and unzipping, it’s as simple as opening the correct file. The rest will walk your students through the activity. I have put much time and effort to make this educational and engaging. This is can be done individually by students or together as a lesson on computer keyboarding.
Similar to all my products sold, this resource does not depend on the internet after it is downloaded. All resources are packaged on a digital containment that can be stored on the computer or uploaded to your preferred cloud storage.
