Teachers, tutors and home schoolers may recognize the Dolch Sight Words list for early readers. Doc Frog has adapted this list for early keyboarding students. He reasons that we ought to teach the left hand and right hand only words with one letter, two letters, three letters, and four letters, with increasing difficulty before words that use letters from both sides of the QWERTY keyboard.

Students who key their weekly spelling lists with both hands (whole brain) will score better than those who merely hand write their word lists (left or right brain hemisphere).
