This product is a vocabulary exercise, in power point format, that covers the entire unit on the Preamble of the US Constitution. The presentation covers 12 key words in the Constitution. The students are provided a list of the 12 vocabulary words within the presentation. Each word is presented on a separate slide and contains the vocabulary word and its common definition.
The students are also provided a copy of the Preamble within the presentation. The vocabulary words in question are underlined, then included in the list of 12 on a separate slide. Each slide then, contains the vocabulary word and its common definition. To assist the students, I have also included at the bottom of each slide suggestions of other words that could have been used.
The goal is to help the students understand the words highlighted so that when asked, they can write their own version of the Preamble. Sometimes vocabulary reviews can be a little stiff, so I have highly animated each of the 17 slides. They are also editable so you can feel free to adjust these slides as you need to.
The assignment is to review each of the vocabulary words, understand what they mean, then rewrite the Preamble of the United States Constitution in your own words by changing the underlined words to your own words. It must make sense. Read it out loud to yourself to make sure.
Good luck and have fun with the presentation!
This is one of many presentations I have in my store on ……… Establishing the United States Government.
