I have used this by providing the prefix, providing it and the meaning, and by allowing the student to choose a prefix. Each way works well and depends on the level of your students. The students are asked to write a prefix, its meaning, two words with it, and explain the meaning of the words with the help of the prefix. Then, the work can be reviewed together. It works great! This can be completed in a whole group, small group, with partners, and one-on-one. It is also a quick print for homework or classwork practice.
