In this bundle are 29 front and back worksheets in Cornell Notes format with six prefixes and/or suffixes per worksheet. Students are given the definition of the word part and two sample words. Then, students are asked to find four additional words that use the word part and create sentences using two of the words. The formatting helps students study by allowing them to fold over the left-hand side to quiz themselves on words.
In the classroom, I use these as bell ringers, and give students five minutes at the beginning of each class to complete the worksheets and quiz themselves or each other. They can also be used as homework, where they are given at the beginning of the week and collected at the end of the week.
The documents are in both PDF and Word Doc form. The PDFs are ready to print and use. The Word Docs are useful if you choose to include instructions that are specific to your classroom routines.
NOTE: There are no quizzes attached. I integrate vocabulary checks with other assessments, so I do not have any standalone assessments. Having students use words in sentences or identification/matching assessments are useful to see if students are retaining the word parts.
Please see thumbnail image to make sure that this product is useful for your students. All 29 worksheets mirror the formatting of the one worksheet posted in the images.
