PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

There are 56 examples of Greek and Latin Roots and 58 examples of prefixes and suffixes referenced in this game bundle which is a great tool for memorizing the meaning of these roots. Players can play in groups of two or three. Just print, cut out and laminate the cards. Each of theprefixes and suffixes and Greek and Latin roots has a picture next to it for visual learners to connect the roots to real life and to make sense of new and unfamiliar roots. It's great for centers and your students will have fun as they learn.

The Prefixes used are: mis, de, a/ab/abs, fore, tri, pre, re, dis, in/un, dif, semi, a, micro, ex, im, sub, inter, pro, tele, bi, super, and under. It also has these number prefixes: uni/mono, bi/duo, quad, penta/quint, deca, hecto, and kilo.

The Suffixes used are: ous, ory, ly, ling, el, fy, ant, able, ible, ness, ess, ment, er, less, ence, ive, eer, ier, et, or, ism, ship, hood, ful, dom. ist, en, sion, ish, al, acy, ate, tion, and esque.

The Greek roots used are: auto, bio, chron, dyna, gram, graph, hetero, homo, hydr, hypo, logy, meter/metr, micro, mis/miso, mono, morph, nym, phil, phobia, phon, photo/phos, pseudo, psycho, scope, techno, tele, and therm.

The Latin roots used are: ambi, aqua, aud, bene, cent, circum, contra, counter, dict, duc/duct, fac, form, fort, fract, ject, jud, mal, mater, mit, mort, multi, pater, port, rupt, scrib/scribe, sec/sect, sent, spec, struct, and vid/vis.

Instructions for playing is included. Variations to this game are also provided. For an answer key, just print out pages the pages (with the cards) on a smaller scale, such as two per page and refer to this as your answer key. I have arranged the cards here in the order that they will be called and answered so it automatically serves as an answer key.
