As a review of prefixes and suffixes, I give one card to each student. For the first round, some students have a prefix and others have a root word. On the second round, the students turn over the cards to suffixes and new root words. The students can differentiate which round they are playing by the different colored ink on their card - red in the front and blue on the back. (If you don't want to print in color, print on different colored paper.) The students search for their match.
