I used this powerpoint to introduce my Prefix of the Day starting with all the not, opposite of prefixes such as: dis, non, un, ir, in, il, and im. It gives the prefix, the definition of the prefix, an example of a word, and then a sentence so students have to use context clues to infer what it means. I had them write what they thought it meant on a graphic organizer I made and then we discussed the actual definition of the root word. The kids loved it. This could be a great bell ringer activity.
