I created these after finding a need with my own students who really needed to think about words and their relationships.
Prefixes are words that are added to a base word. Imposters are words that are not, but end with those same letters.
I use this as a Checklist format assessment to see if my students are understanding which words contain prefixes and which just end with those same letters. The students read each word and attempt to break it apart to a prefix + base word. If it contains a prefix, they check that box, and if not they check imposter.
It is a two paged/front back document.
