Product Description
Prefixes Concentration Game: All kids love to play Concentration- here is a prefix version containing 18 matches (36 cards) with the prefixed word in the context of a sentence! This set contains mis-, pre-, re-, un-, and dis-.

I choose to begin with these five prefixes because they account for 53% of all English prefixed words, according to Word Frequency Book (Carroll, Davies, Richman, 1971).

One card has the prefix written in the context of a sentence with an accompanying picture. (Example: I will prepay for gas for my car.) The matching card has the same sentence written in its other form. (Example: I will pay before filling my car with gas.)

**Note- I always teach kids to turn one card over, and then I have them tell which card they need to make a match BEFORE they turn their second card over. This makes it a more educational activity rather than a "match the picture" activity.

Print these cards out, cut, and laminate for a game that can be used year after year! Includes DIRECTIONS, too!
