*Editable* *Includes a Zonk! page where they have to perform a silly task before they can play again*
This game covers: Dis-, Re-, Im-, In-, Mis-, Pre-, Un-
To play this kinesthetic 'Prefix' word game, simply print one copy of the word doc, have students crumble the pages into 'snowballs', then toss them over an imaginary volleyball net, stop, pick up a snowball, then find the person with the matching 'snowball'.
For example: if your snowball has 'Pronounce' you want to find someone else who has 'Mis' so you can complete the word 'Mispronounce' together. After finding a match I have them stand under marked 4 corners for which meaning fits their word.
You can print 1 page per student so matches are guaranteed or print extras and let them scramble to find a match before time runs out.
I play this for about 20 minutes and stop to have students arrange in 4 corners ask them questions about their words, come up with sentences using their completed words, etc.
