Description

Are you looking for a PowerPoint that will extend your students' basic understanding of prefixes? If so, this highly interactive PowerPoint may be exactly what you are looking for! It is fully animated and included a handout that matches the PowerPoint. Answers do not appear on the screen until the teacher clicks the mouse.

This is the sequel to my original Prefixes Powerpoint (click HERE to see this version!) which focuses on un-, dis-, re-, pre-, & mis.

The 57-slide PowerPoint includes:

Slides 1-6: Review of the terms "affix", "prefix", and "suffix"- This includes an explanation of why the root word is "fix" and how it's related to the meaning of the words!! (These five slides are identical to the ones in my original PowerPoint)

Slides 7-11: Quick review of the prefixes in my original PowerPoint (RE, PRE, DIS, UN, MIS)

Slides 12-14: Introduction of OVER- (over/too much)

Slides 15-17: Introduction of UNDER- (under/below)

Slides 18-20: Introduction of SUB- (below)

Slides 21-23: Introduction of DE- (to remove)

Slides 24-26: Introduction of INTER- (between)

Slides 27-29: Introduction of SEMI- (partly/half)

Slides 30-35: Introduction of IN-, IR-, IL-, and IM- (not)

Slides 36-57: Review and Practice Slides- A sentence is provided, and students must write the word with a prefix from the sentence, and then the meaning of the prefix.

*Also, you DO have my permission to convert this PowerPoint to a Google Slides format. Please note that this PowerPoint cannot be edited in any way except for deleting slides.
