Product Description
This is the first part of a three-part vocabulary cycle I've created for my third graders, which covers prefixes, suffixes, and word roots. The .zip file contains two PDF files that are formatted to letter-sized paper (203.2 mm × 266.7 mm)

The 20 prefixes included are:
anti: against
dis: not, opposite
ex: former, not anymore
im/in: not
inter: among, between
intra: within
mis: wrong, not
multi: many, much
non: not
over: too much
post: after
pre: before
pro(1): favor, like
pro(2): forward
re(1): again
re(2): back
sub: under, below
super: above, beyond
un: not
under: below, less than

For each of the 2 weeks, it includes a double-sided classwork/homework page with:
A complete list of the prefixes
A list of this week's prefixes
A class activity to practice
Three homework activities using words with the prefixes

For each week, it also includes a double-sided quiz with:
Matching the prefix with the meaning
Using the prefix to choose the correct meaning of a new word.

The goal with the second part of the quiz is that students practice using the known prefix, plus context, to guess the meaning of a word they are unlikely to have seen before. The quiz words are not taught during the unit. I suggest that you have students correct part 1 of their own quiz as you check it together as a class, before continuing to part 2 of the quiz.

**As of Jan 15, 2016, also includes an answer key!**
