This is a fun way for your students to practice prefixes and suffixes. Students will move around the room determining meanings. Students will scan cards with QR codes. Each card has a definition, question, or set of words for students to use to determine the answer. Once they figure out the meaning of the root word, they must record it on their answer sheet and then search the room for another card that has the answer on it. Once they find it they will scan the next QR code and it will give them the next clue. It is so much better than a traditional worksheet or dictionary activity. The students will have so much fun with the movement that they won't even realize they are doing work! The 16 cards correlate with the fourth and fifth grade common core L.4.4 and L.5.4
