Why use Prefixes and Suffixes Word Work Activity with a Groundhog Theme? Research tells us that an element of fun enhances learning. Children love celebrating the interesting holidays that come along, and this game is always a hit with children!
How it works: This is a board game, to be used with dice and the enclosed cards. In order to work their way around the game board, the student performs the task on a card they draw. Each card requires them to identify the base word of a word with a prefix or a suffix. If the group agrees the answer is correct, the student may roll the die and work their way around the game board.
What’s included: This resource includes a gameboard, directions, 24 prefix cards, and 24 suffix cards.
