Your children will love to complete this fun and educational activity to practice adding prefixes to base words. Use this activity as part of your guided reading, word work, or as a learning center. Activities included are sure to motivate even your most reluctant readers!
Activities Included:
1. Word Sort- The children will sort base words into 4 groups by adding re, un, pre, or dis. If the children complete the activity correctly a secret picture is revealed.
2. Build Your Own Team- Children will sort baseball players and object onto the right team depending on what prefix they can add to the base words.
3. Puzzles- Children will solve puzzles according to what prefixes can be added to the base words.
4. Game Board- Students will move their player around the game board by reading base words and adding prefixes.
5. Also included are 2 worksheets for independent practice of this skill.
