This is a 72 piece preliminary Spanish language puzzle. Content includes days of the week, buenos dias, buenas tardes, buenas noches, por favor, gracias, de nada, muy bien, hola, hasta luego, etc. Also included are weather terms: hace viento, hace sol, hace calor, nieva, llueve, etc. The verb ser is represented with short phrases like: Soy de Cuba, Soy de Chile, Soy de Mexico, etc. Numbers are introduced in the context of days or weeks, for example: tres semanas, cuatro semanas, cinco semanas, etc.
This puzzle is large and makes for a great group work activity. It can also be used for classroom contests -- i.e. who can put the puzzle together most quickly.
Print onto card stock. Cut out each piece with scissors. Store in miniature plastic sandwich bags. Challenge students to put the puzzle back together.
