This presentation shows students how to best prepare for their upcoming MCA’s (or can be tailored for any standardized tests) by showing what they should do the week before the test, the night before, the morning of the test, and during the test.
First, break students up into small groups and on a sheet of paper draw the grid that is on the next slide. They should brainstorm what they think they should do on those days. After they do this, you could have a class discussion to put together a master list of what they all think are the most important.
Then go through the presentation that shows what they should do to see if their lists match.
After going through the presentation, slide 10 tells what they should do for their group poster. You could make this into a poster contest if you would like. We posted ours around the school the week before the MCA’s as helpful reminders.
