This worksheet provides students with tips and advice to prepare for a job interview. Students are provided with a role play activity whereby they imagine that a casual sales position at a department store has recently been advertised. They have applied for the position through a letter and have been called in to attend an interview for the position.
In partners or small groups, students swap roles being the applicant and the interviewer.
The interviewer will ask the following questions in a simulated interview, in which the applicant has to come up with the best possible answer. Once the simulated interview has been completed, students swap roles.
Once both interviews have been conducted, write a script based on the responses given. These role plays can also be filmed at students discretion and played back for feedback.
