Prepositional Phrases are on the loose! They have escaped our grammar books and have been found everywhere! Please help me find some of them!
Grammar isn't always "fun" but it is our duty to make it a little more exciting! The students are given 4 tasks that will reinforce prepositional phrases.
Task #1: Students are asked to find prepositional phrases in printed text.
Task #2: Students are asked to look at their own writing (journals) to find prepositional phrases. If your students do not have journals, open the word copy of the document and change it to another location.
Task #3: Students are asked to add prepositional phrases to setences.
Task #4 Students are asked to circle prepositional phrases and the object of each preposition. This task also reinforces the idea that some prepositions are actually adverbs (explanation on the worksheet).
Answer Key included!
