Prepositional phrases can be difficult for students to master, I use Don Quixote as part of their daily warm-ups to have them practicing this concept every day. This particular activity can be used as an assessment, homework or an in-class activity. There are also pictures that can be used as posters around the room, or a way to do a quick check with the students about their direction word vocabulary.
Don Quixote is a famous literary figure in Spanish literature. This activity helps students to correctly use prepositions in sentences describing where someone is located, and provides a little cultural background. For the sake of keeping the activity engaging for students I have replaced the real Don Quixote with Pascal from the movie "Tangled." I do give a full background of the real Don Quixote.
