These Prepositions Interactive "Play" Mats for following spatial directions require students to follow the written or visual directions on a variety of task cards to move pictures of objects or characters around the mat for a hands on and motivating approach to learning prepositions. This resource includes 5 play mats (3 beginner and 2 advanced level play mats) as well as 3 differentiated levels of visual task cards for each play mat-( 162 task cards/strips)..
Students can grow with the differentiated levels of task cards while moving from the beginner to advanced level play mats. With a variety of prepositions targeted you will get a lot of use out of this resource. Staff can read the instructions on the task card to students, students can read the cards independently, or use the visuals independently upon skill acquisition.

2- Advanced following spatial directions play mats (French fries, chicken nuggets, soda and dog, cat, ball) require students to discriminate between objects (put the ball under the dog (vs. the cat that is also on the page) The advanced play mats also include 3 levels of task strips (Directions with pictures of objects, directions with spatial visuals, and written directions only with preposition highlighted.)
-An additional set of task cards – (Preposition word/phrase with visual only) are also included and can be used with all the mats.
