Prepositions Intro Project - This fun activity serves as an introduction to prepositions. Students create and "act out" a scene where they are required to demonstrate a good understanding of prepositions and their meanings. First, the teacher uses provided materials (such as a background, object clip art, character on a stick etc.) to “act out” a demonstration of prepositions following an included script. The students follow along and mark on a list the prepositions that they hear. After this introduction, students follow directions in folding, cutting, and designing a paper into their own background with a pop-out object. They then choose one of the provided characters to “act out” their own script, which they write according to a direction sheet with rubric. A partner will watch the skit and mark the prepositions he/she hears. See the PREVIEW for more information and pictures of included materials (25 total pages!)
