Prepositions of Place with Buildings Board Game is a fun game that is perfect for practicing prepositions of place with buildings on a street. The board game has been designed to use pictures instead other words so that you can use different target language in any language.
Print the PDF file Prepositions of Place with Buildings Board Game. You will need one print out for each group. I recommend printing the file A3 size. Play in groups of 3 or 4.
The buildings include: school, police station, hospital, fire station, restaurant, gas station, library, bank, post office, tower, cinema, supermarket.
To play the game the student rolls a dice and they move the amount of correct spaces. If they land on a building space then they have to look at the street below and describe where the building is using prepositions of place. E.g. “The restaurant is in between the cinema and the police station.” If they land on a red arrow space then they have to go back the number of spaces indicated. The first student to get to finish is the winner.
