Sometimes little ones present challenging behaviors as they are developing their social skills and learning how to interact with others.
* This skill development can be influenced by their language proficiency, problem solving skills, developmental level and learning styles.
* This resource was created for Early Childhood Special Education students, but will be useful for all early learners in a group setting, in a one to one setting, at school or at home.
Helpful behavior management tips are provided including:
random reinforcement of good behavior
exploring different ways to address poor behavior
using students’ strengths to address their weaknesses and individual differences.
Resource includes twenty-four mini- posters to provide students with visual cues for both good behavior and poor behavior.
Questions are also provided for each picture/poster to generate class discussions, to discuss different solutions and to explore better ways to solve problem behaviors.
Directions to create a sorting activity are also included.
August 18, 2015 Added four additional mini-posters and prompts for good behavior.
