A hands-on activity that can be used for PreK, Kindergarten or special education students to learn colors. This is a great activity to do after reading "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" or when working on the letter C! Students will work on color identification and sorting skills. Activity comes with 11 different color cookies to sort: black, gray, brown, orange, yellow, green, blue, red, white, pink and purple.
Directions: Print up cookies, cut and laminate. Use paper plates- can buy color paper plates, color in white plates or cut and paste construction paper to middle of the plate.
Use a spatula from your Dramatic Play Center (or from home!). This is a great way for students to work on hand-eye coordination! They will transfer the cookie using the spatula to the matching colored plate. If your student has trouble with this, they do not have to use a spatula. Modify to make activity easier or more challenging for your individual student. Can be done in small, large group or even left in your Dramatic Play Center!
