Preschool Keepsake Book (First Week-Last Week Activities)
UPDATED GRAPHICS (Cover Only) June 2014
This keepsake book/project is a wonderful way to start the school year, as well as finish out the year. The book has pages to be filled out during the first week of school and then again during the last week of school. Students (and parents) love to see how much progress they have made from the beginning of the school year to the end of the school year. It’s always fun to have students share the finished books with the rest of the class during your last week together.
1. Students will need at least 3 large pieces of construction paper (folded in half and stapled to make a book). You may add more pages if you want to add anything extra, such as class picture (s), letter from teacher, or other special activity.
2. Students will color, cut, and glue the cover page to the front of construction paper. Then, complete the “first week” activities and glue on left sides of booklet. Be sure to leave the right side empty. The “last week” activities will be placed in these sections at the end of the year.
3. Finish book during the last week of school.
NOTE:You may glue pages ahead of time or just keep everything filed together so you’ll be ready to finish the project at the end of the year. Also, make an additional “teacher” page if there is more than one teacher in your classroom. Another option is to print two to a page to make half page books. Enjoy
