Do your students know what to do in classroom centers? You can’t model every single possibilities for these self-paced learning spaces, but these challenge books can help. The books offer different possible activities that children can try in each of your classroom centers, helping them explore the available materials and learn to use them appropriately.
This freebie includes the challenge book pages for the math center. You can choose to make a book (with a binder ring or comb binding) or to use the pages as choice cards.
I’ve included a wide variety of common preschool math activities. Choose those that are most appropriate for your classroom, and feel free to add additional challenge pages as you add new materials to your math center.
Once your students have learned how to use the materials in your math center you can use the challenge books to challenge them! See how many of the different activities they can try to encourage them to step outside of their comfort zone.
