Great activity to do in the Fall, for letter Ss for squirrel, learning about hibernation, working on color and shapes.
Directions- Print and cut out squirrels and acorns. Laminate for longevity. Tape squirrels onto file folders into small fields
(dependent on your student's ability).
1. Color Match: Review colors with your students or class. Students will identify colors and then place acorns on or next to the
squirrel that is the same color. Either have the student match one acorn or all dependent on if they need the activity easier or
more challenging. Works on colors: red, orange, yellow, green, brown, blue, purple, pink, gray, white and black.
2. Shape Match: Review shapes with your students. Students will identify shapes and then place acorns on or next to the
squirrel with the same shape. Dependent on the students skill levels, you may want the student to match only one, two or all
acorns. Works on shapes: oval, circle, square, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, heart, star, diamond and triangle.
Thanks and enjoy!
