In this activity, students reflect on what they have accomplished in their academic year, writing sentences in the using the present perfect to write sentences about six different domains of accomplishment: academic, personal growth, physical, community work, family, friends, and love. It is wonderful practice with the past participle, and focuses primarily on the use of the yo form. Students really enjoy the practical application of the grammar, and jump right into the activity.
I have used this activity, for Spanish 2, 3 and 4, and I often pair it with either a venn reflection in pairs that has students using the nosotros form of the present perfect, or a followup with a necesitar/tener que activity which allows the students to reflect on what needs to be done for self-improvement. I have an additional variation for AP Spanish that uses three perfect tenses in the same fashion.
Works well in conjunction with Realidades 2 6b, and Realidades 3 5
