In this activity, students reflect on what they have accomplished at different points in their lives (past, present and future), writing sentences in the using different perfect tenses to write sentences about six different domains of accomplishment: academic, personal growth, physical, community work, family, friends, and love. It is wonderful practice with the past participle, and focuses primarily on the use of the yo form. Students really enjoy the practical application of the grammar, and jump right into the activity. In addition, there is a prompt to reflect on how their answers would be different if they had grown up in another country.
I have used this activity in conjunction with the "families and communities theme", and have often paired it with an exploration of indigenous family structure (see link for an example).
