After teaching the present progressive tense, teachers can proceed the following activities:
Step 1: review V+ing (see slice 1)
Step 2: Teachers can print the slice 3&4 for each student (or each pair or each group)
to do the “Who’s missing?” activity. Teachers tell students “ People are
engaging in activities in Happy Town, however someone is missing, please
help the police to find out the missing one according to the clues showed on
slice 3&4. Students needs to look up the pictures (slice 3) corresponsing to
activities (slice 4) and find out the answer.
Step 3: do some drills for sentence pattern (see slice 5&6)
Step 4: wrap-up activity (writing activity: see slice 7)
