PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Response to literature lesson. Two articles about the presidency of President Jefferson. One positive, one critical. Students will read both articles, annotate each, create T-chart, and then decide what they think about President Jefferson. Lesson includes pp slides to introduce lesson.

Students really enjoy this lesson. They find it fascinating that President Teddy Roosevelt was critical of Jefferson. They find it ironic that Teddy isn't looking at Jefferson on Mt. Rushmore. It's a great catch for the lesson. Students also enjoy learning how much FDR loved Jefferson, despite the fact they had polar views of how to run the government.
