Let the creativity loose in your classroom as students explore ways to present a president using common objects.
President in a Bag is an offshoot of Country in a Bag. Country in a Bag (2004 NCGE Cram Award winner) has been in use in my geography classrooms since about 2000 and is one of those projects remembered and talked about by both students and parents. It was so much fun and such good learning resulted that I began using it in my history classes altered to President in a Bag.
This packet presents the president application and for many teachers can serve as a stand-alone item. The in depth information is available in the Country in a Bag application.
The greater application of this basic idea includes authors and pieces of literature, famous people and events in history, science or math.
This President in a Bag packet contains a brief explanation for the project and a grading rubric. It is mainly designed to be used as an expansion of Country in a Bag.
Try the project and on presentation day you will marvel at the creativity you encounter.
