George Washington and Abraham Lincoln Presidential Word Sort.
Use this word sort to help reinforce your students' decoding skills in context (categories) and in isolation using common syllabic patterns and spelling patterns. Student practice comprehension skills and their ability to draw reasonable conclusions while decoding. Students are also expected to following multi-step directions in written format (with pictorial support).
Please note that no answer key is provided because some answers are subjective. Encourage students to explain why they chose to put words in certain categories (i.e. - "hat" could be a Washington or Lincoln).
