This activity can be your no-prep lesson plan for Presidents' Day. It allows students to learn a fun fact about each president (traditional matching column with the presidents on the left side and fun fact on the right), then there are 8 questions to answer of a fun and creative nature to get students thinking about the variety of presidents (and first ladies) America has had. This would be great for a sub! Answers are included where appropriate.
Sample questions include:
-Imagine a scenario where Teddy Roosevelt and Andrew Jackson are both running for president in 1930. What are the main topics of the campaign? What type of campaign and election is it? Who wins and why?
-Pick 3 famously remembered First Ladies. Why are these still remembered today and not others?
-Which 3 presidents would you most like to meet and why (living or dead)?
