Here's an interactive PowerPoint lesson activity for Presidents’ Day appropriate for kindergarten, first grade, second grade, or third grade. For the game, a picture of a President is hidden under rectangle shapes. Students take turns choosing a rectangle to tap or mouse click and the rectangle flies off to reveal part of the President's picture. As the picture is revealed, students guess the name of the President. The name of the President with a few fun facts are on the following page. Then another hidden picture is presented. Students have fun while learning about twelve of our U.S. Presidents. It’s perfect for Presidents’ Day!
Suggestions for implementing this game activity is included in a teacher notes section. It's easy to adapt this activity to suit different ability levels. This PowerPoint is perfect for use with a Smart Board, ActivBoard or other interactive whiteboard. But it can be used without that technology as long as you have PowerPoint and a computer.
